What happened to the food database?

I loved this app and used it religiously to track my nutritional intake. With this past upgrade all my favorite foods seemed to have been erased, as did the options to search restaurants, grocery stores, and bar codes. Please help! I depend on this app and will be very disappointed if I cant get it working again.
